This little man of mine, who is now 7 years old, has been the inspiration for my photography ever since he was born!  I used to photograph him in every position, in every outfit, or without one!...one time he even pee'd on my bed {but it's my favorite newborn photo so it was worth it!}.

I remember being frustrated though when my little point and shoot Canon Powershot wouldn't give me the sharpness and clarity I was looking for when I photographed those tiny fingers and toes.  Or when I would try to snap a cute expression or smile and was always a second too late, I know you can relate!

Then, when my son was 3 years old, I took him in for his Studio photo session, like we had been doing since he was 3 months old, and he decided he wasn't in the mood to smile that day.  We tried and tried, and he wouldn't have it.  So this frustrated mommy gave up, and resigned to rescheduling the appointment for another day.  Only we got home, and he was more comfortable in his own surroundings, and in front of our house I got him to pose for me with the biggest smile, and I caught it, and I LOVED it!  And I said, why am I taking you to the studio again?  And that was the last time we ever went into the studio.

After that I just tried to catch Logan being himself, whether it was blowing bubbles in the backyard, or jumping off the diving board, wrapped in a noodle, and catching a snapshot of him in mid air, priceless!

And then last year I got my first DSLR camera, and I'm wondering why I waited so long!!!  :)  I was hooked from the minute the guy at the Camera Company put it in my hand! {Gotta give a shout out to the Salesmen at the Camera Co. while I'm at it, they are absolutely fabulous and so helpful every single time I'm in there}.

Here are a few pictures I wanted to share with you of my li'l muse who has grown to be a very tall 7 year old {yes, he does still let me photograph him...once in a while!}  Here we were at my Aunt & Uncles Farm, where my Dad grew up, and their dog and my son became fast friends!  I swear the dog was even posing for the pictures, like "ok, how do I look from this angle?!"

Thanks for checking out my Blog!  I'm excited to get to share more stories {and pictures of course} with you!
