You know how when you're little and you loved animals, you always thought "I'm gonna be a Veterinarian when I grow up." Yep that was me, growing up on a farm in Lodi, WI. Being out in nature was, and still is, one of my favorite things to do!
Instead of a Vet, I became a Labor & Delivery Nurse at St. Mary's for 18 years, one of the coolest jobs ever! I honestly thought I'd retire there...until I picked up a camera! I've been married since 2001, and we have 1 amazing teenage son and 2 spoiled Rescue Pups named Gus & Piper! When my son was about 7 years old I bought my first DSLR camera. I was trying to pick up a new hobby, and was deciding between a camera or a guitar. I'm so glad I picked a camera, little did I know how much I would LOVE it! What started out as just for fun has now been a growing business for over 11 years! In 2019 I quit my job at the hospital to take AmyHeltPhotography full-time, and I'm loving every minute of it! I'm the type of person with a lot of patience, and an eye for detail and I want to connect with you to make heirloom quality art for your family. Want to know what my favorite photos are? When I capture you feeling relaxed and enjoying yourself! I want to help you create your vision, and capture all the details. From couples loving on each other, to quickly growing little ones, stolen smiles and silly laughs, that's the good stuff!
I can't wait to work with you and get to know you! Thanks for checking out my page! ~AmyHeltPhotography
My Pups: Gus & Piper
The Sweetest Doodle Rescues!
Gus the Labradoodle
Gus is a White Labradoodle who was surrendered by a Breeder when he was 1, and then had a wonderful foster Mom who loved on him and house-trained him. He was a year old when we got him and our then Black Goldendoodle Jax taught him how to "be a dog". They were the best of friends for 3 years! Sadly we had to put Jax down at 5 years old due to Cancer. He loves playing with his ball hardcore, begging for human food, and following me around 24/7! He's pretty shy to strangers, but oh so soft and snuggly! I hope you get to meet him sometime!
Piper the Goldendoodle
We lovingly call her “Hyper Piper”! 2 years after Gus had adjusted to being an “only dog”, we found Piper, a Black Goldendoodle, at a Rescue, and she instantly filled the hole left by Jax, and she is so much like him, just a lot smaller!. She is the sweetest, most personable dog, she loves everyone and everything and just wants to snuggle. We are so happy we found her and love having her in our family!
