What Can I expect from my Newborn Session?
My Goal for your Newborn Session is a Fun, "No Hassel" Photo Experience based on Your Baby's Needs. Newborn sessions are typically done within the FIRST 14 days of birth to get those adorable curled up poses. I try to help my clients book Newborn Sessions a couple months ahead of time so I can guarantee availability for you once you deliver, by having you pay the booking fee. But to make things easier you can wait until after the baby is born to book the actual date, once you know you'll be back home.
My sessions are laid back, allowing plenty of time for baby's feedings, getting back to sleep, etc.
The session is run by the baby's needs :)
Where should we do our Newborn Session?
Studio vs. Lifestyle
I offer sessions either in My Studio in Cross Plains, a Lifestyle Session in your home, or Outdoors at a Park if the weather is nice. If you like the more posed looks and you want access to all of my baskets, blankets, and props, or your home is under remodeling, then the Studio is the place for your session. I also have a bed in the studio so we can get some family photos as well. I HIGHLY recommend getting photos taken with your baby, they are only so tiny for just a short time, and I promise you won't regret capturing this magical time together!
If you want a session with more candid moments in your own home where we can incorporate your Nursery, your Bedroom, your Living Room, your Pets, etc. then an in-home Lifestyle Session is for you. I will bring a basket or bowl to your home as well so we can get some close ups of baby wrapped up. I'll bring a wrap & a headband too, so let me know what colors you like so I can choose accordingly. And weather permitting, I'm willing to pop outside for a couple photos too, because there's nothing cuter than a little baby in nature!
